Chicago - Annual Holiday Toy Drive for Comer Children's Hospital
The Alumni Club of Chicago is supporting Comer Children's Hospital for the 3rd straight year with our annual Holiday Toy Drive! Please drop off new and unwrapped toys at the designated locations.

No Registration Required

Alumni Club Volunteer Committee is hosting the annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit Comer Children's Hospital and would appreciate your support. Your new and unwrapped toys will ensure that play time is a source of hope and healing for Comer patients. The drive will run from Dec 01-Dec 20. Toys must be new and unwrapped. 'TIS THE SEASON OF GIVING AND MANY THANKS TO THOSE WHO DONATE!!!!!

Drop off locations and toy guidelines are below.

Chicago drop off locations:
UChicago Alumni Center, 5555 South Woodlawn Avenue, in the lobby by the conference room
Gleacher Center - Graham School Offices (concourse level), 450 North Cityfront Plaza Drive.
Hospital: Goldblatt Lobby
Wyler lobby, 5837 South Maryland Avenue

Drop off is during normal business hours.

Suggested Toy Guidelines

General Needs:
UNO cards, Play-Doh (small party size containers), Bubbles in no-spill tumblers
“I Spy” / “Look & Find books
Play Station III, X-Box 360 and game cube games (rated EC / E / E10+ / T)
Nintendo DS Lite game systems and games, Portable CD boom boxes
I – Pods; I – Pads, New release DVD movies (rated G, PG, PG – 13)
Batteries – AA, C, D, 9 – volt

Infants / Toddlers (over 50% of the hospital population is three yrs old and under):
All plastic toys (birth – 3 mos), Rattles, Musical and light – up toys
Board books (no fabric), Teethers, Stacking cups, Chunky toddler cars
One piece toys (e.g. Infantino activity triangles, Playskool busy tumble tops, Fisher Price pop – up toys)
Graco Sweet Slumber sound machines
Preschool / School age
Art supplies/craft kits (non-toxic glue or paint), Medical play kits, African American baby dolls and Barbies (all plastic), Action figures, Matchbox cars

Teen support gift cards (Amazon, Target, Best Buy)
Art supplies/craft kits (non-toxic glue or paint), Journals/scrapbooks
Word search puzzle books/comic books/Sudoku
Hand – held electronic games (e.g. 20 Questions, Connect 4, Battleship)
Full and travel – size games (e.g. Monopoly, Sorry, Battleship, Scrabble, Connect 4, Clue, Apples to Apples, Bananagrams, Boggle, Trouble)
