Ronald McDonald House - Cookies From the Heart Volunteer Event

Here's your opportunity to support families whose children are being treated at Advocate Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn.

Cost: Free
Registration Required: Click here to register

Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Children’s Hospital opened its doors on December 15, 2008 as the fourth House in the Chicagoland area. The staff and volunteers of this 16 bedroom House are proud to have welcomed more than 600 families, served over 850 meals and volunteers have logged over 30,000 volunteer hours since opening.

The Univerity of Chicago Alumni and Friends Community can add their support to help make the House a home by participating in the "Cookies from the Heart" program. Fresh baked treats really go a long way!

If you like to bake, then we are looking for you! Volunteers purchase enough ingredients to make 2-3 batches of their favorite cookie, muffin, brownie, etc. recipe. If you are unable to participate on Friday the 14th but would like to bake cookies for the families, feel free to contact Charmaine Owens to make arrangements.

Registration required by March 9th.
